Shared Word docs on W7 show blank when opened from Linux

Hi, I did a fresh installation of Linux Mint 17.1 and I also installed MS Word/Excel/PPT 2010. Everything works fine in Linux, however, when I try to open from Linux any shared Word document on W7, Word launches as 'Document 1' blank. All the other shared documents, like, Pdf, pictures, videos etc. work fine when launched from Linux on W7. I experience the same issue with Excel and PPT I have no idea why, has anybody experienced this? Thanks Alex

You'd probably have better luck on a linux forum. Can you open Excel files? It could be an Office-Linuxdistro issue.

Windows Live is what I am currently using. If I go to Word, highlight a doc to send as a pdf, it rejects it. Error states I am not logged onto Microsoft Exchange. I redo it and it rejects it again. After upgrading to Word7, I have to open all Word docs twice if Word is not alread open. If Word is already open, docs open just fine though. Need help.
