Can't see network devices on Windows 7 machine

    Hi,

I have a networking issue which I am flummoxed by. In my flat we have four devices; a linux box, a NAS, a windows 7 desktop and a windows 7 laptop. All the the devices can share between them with the exception of the laptop.

The laptop cannot be seen by any of the other devices. It sees the other windows machine as a normal machine on which the shared folders can be browsed, but it sees the linux box and the NAS as media servers.

I want to be able to treat all devices as browsable (like I can with the windows desktop machine). Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    Welcome to Seven Forums,

Is the "Turn on network discovery" enabled? Please check out some troubleshooting tips here.
