I have just installed Windows 7 Ultimate on my PC, but I cannot connect to the Internet even though I've tried almost everything. My connection is there but i can't press the connect button and it's very frustrating. I am very new. Can someone help please?

Please edit your image links - you've linked to the thumbnails instead of the large images. Also, please update your system specs - the link is in my signature. We need to know what hardware you have, so we can figure out what the problem may be. Make sure you put your wifi hardware in there, too.

for my wifi hardware the driver is called
Airnet Wireless G AWD154 PCI Card/Card Bus
well, since you haven't given your specs.....
we need to know these:
1] what's your mode on internet connection? ( dsl, cable, lan, dial up)
2] how do you log in your internet? (always in, ppoe -login namne / password)
3] what's your network set up? (modem-router or modem only or modem + wifi router)
Sorry for bumping an old thread but I just recently started having this problem and so far, this is the only topic I could locate on Google. Long story short, I have a HTPC connected to a 3D projector. I can not connect to the internet (pci wifi card) at 1280 x 720p or 1280 x 800 resolution. 1280 x 720p @ 120hz is the resolution needed to play 3D and 1280 x 800 is the native resolution.
I've tried installing and rolling back the Nvidia drivers and the only way I can get around this issue is if I change my desktop resolution to 1680 x 1050 (@60hz). I can not for the life of me understand what is going on. I've reinstalled Windows 7 x64 twice and this issue appears as as soon as I install the Nvidia drivers for the GTX 460 card. Internet connection is PERFECT when the stock VGA driver is used. But after installing the GTX460 drivers, why would I be able to connect to my wireless router, but the link to the internet is broken? Or, when I look at the network properties, it'll show that i'm connected to the internet, but when I open a Internet Explorer, it just sits there. No sooner do I change the resolution from 1280 x 800 (or 720) to 1680 x 1050 does the wifi connect to the internet.
I'm only able to use the last version (v260.99) because if I upgrade to v266.58 or the v267 beta, my 3D becomes unstable when I use Total Media Theater 5 or Power DVD 10. This is a known bug and Nvidia has not fixed it - they actually exacerbated it when they updated the driver from 260 to 266. http://www.arcsoft.com/forum/forum_p...een-in-3d-mode
