I'm trying to enable IPV6 on my PC but I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I ran the Microsoft fixit to enable IPV6 and I rebooted. Now when I check here:
Test your IPv6.
It still says:
"No IPv6 address detected".
"Your DNS server (possibly run by your ISP) appears to have IPv6 Internet access."
What can I do to get it enabled? I'm using Google DNS. The box for it is also checked in my Network and Sharing Center properties.
My ISP doesn't support IPv6. My DNS Lookup Provider is Comodo Secure DNS and as far as I know it doesn't support IPv6.
You can try Google DNS with IPv6 support but most website servers don't use it yet:

Quick note to say that I've enabled IPv6 and checked settings as shown here:

It doesn't work for me so I'm off to check my router settings (some routers only have IPv4) and see if I can enable it that way!
Here's what I think:
My ISP does not support IPv6 (yet) so only the IPv4 settings do anything regardless as to whether they are my ISP's servers or OpenDNS or other servers.
Okay, I found out where to put in my IPv6 address (in my verizon Actiontec router it's under Advanced settings>IPv6. I have both addresses in and under IPv6 LAN Configuration I have stateless selected (default I believe and I think that's what Windows uses by default. But when I go to Test your IPv6.
it still tells me I don't have IPv6. So I'm confused. What am I doping wrong?
Under Windows Local Area Connection status, it says:
IPv6 Connectivity: No network access
Check that your ISP supports IPv6. Mine doesn't so no matter what I do - it won't work.

ISP does not support IPv6 for me just yet and I've checked my ISP's website to confirm.

I just got off the phone with my ISP (Verizon FiOS) and they informed me that they do not support IPv6 currently. I'm very surprised at this since their Actiotec router has the settings to support it. I guess that explains why I can't get it to work
From what I see in Verizon forums they don't support it even though they've been promising it for over 2 years now. Thanks for trying to help - at least i wasn't doing anything wrong on my end.
