    The adaptor driver usually has some basic test features. Mine, shown below, shows a loop-back test. There's also connection and cable tests.

    Carwiz,
    I wish I had that.

    I did fine the partial issue thanks to my linux partition, even though some sites that use ipv6 still prefer to use ipv4 connections.

    I edited a gai.conf and removed the # from this precedence ::ffff:0:0/96 100 line

    # For sites which prefer IPv4 connections change the last line to
    #precedence ::ffff:0:0/96 100
    Dose windows 7 have a way to do this?

    I have no idea. I don't know what a "gai.conf" is. I was under the impression that IPv6 addressing is dependent on your ISP. I see a lot of IPv6 Solicit messages in my monitor but never paid much attention to them. As long as I'm connected and get the site I'm looking for, I'm happy. :)

    That what I thought about IPv6 addressing. If a site prefers to use Ipv4, they shouldn't have IPv6 till it is actually required.

    I could be mistaken but I think some Microsoft servers use IPv6. I seem to recall reading that somewhere. I think it may be for updates but I don't recall.
