    Internet Problem


    I am having a problem getting my Internet from my WiFi laptop to my desktop throught am ethethernet cabe. It keeps saying no Internet acces. Both computers are windows 7.

    Can you provide more info please? such as how often it happens, what version of windows 7 etc.

    If I read the starting post correctly, you tried both hard-wire and wireless? Neither desktop or laptop connects to the internet? Where does the Network and Sharing Center show the red X? And, neither desktop or laptop see each other under Network icon?

    There is no Internet access and there is a yellow triangle, I try to start the ics service and it says the dependency or group does not start

    He's trying to run ICS on the laptop to provide Internet Access to his desktop via a Ethernet cable.

    Good article here: Using ICS (Internet Connection Sharing)

    Better yet, put in a Router. Much easier and better performance.
