Remote System Specs Software On Network

I'm on a network with about 300 - 500 computers and I wanted to see if anybody know of any software (free) that will do like a tally on my network and give me information on the systems. The information of what I'm looking for is system make and model, processor type, how much memory is instill on the system and what OS is being used. I work for IT in a school but Admin are being tight on budget so trying to find something that would help make life a little better.

Thanks for your help if anybody can assist.
