Need help with a ASUS K53E Wireless problem

    Hi....

So what the problem is, I had this Asus K53E Laptop awhile back and everything was great it worked fine for gaming and social stuff until the screen cracked i didn't have the money to pay for it to be fixed right away, so it has been sat collecting dust until last week when i got it fixed. So i logged onto the Laptop and resumed where i left of until i noticed that the Wireless and wired drivers weren't working/there. So i downloaded the most recent ones while also updating everything else now the wired driver works great but what i mainly need to work is the wireless, now this is day 5-6 i have tried everything and everything but no matter what i cant seem to get the wireless to work. So i did a system restore to factory settings and still no luck. So now im stuck i have no clue what to do, its in great condition so im really stuck for what to do next. I have managed (sometimes) to pick up my connection on wireless but it says poor connection while right next to the router and does not connect no matter what.

Would really love some help right now, im on the laptop pretty much most of the time so any more info needed can be given in quick response.

Cheers for taking the time to help.

Plug in by ethernet cable and Enable hardware auto-updating via Windows Update (Step 3),
then Check for Updates and install all Important and Optional Updates which will include the drivers Win7 wants and many patches needed to make the OS, other software and your hardware work right.

After requested restarts, keep going back to check for Updates until no more are offered. If still no wireless driver, make sure your wireless switch on laptop (google your model to find out where) is On, then right click on Connection icon in bottom right System tray to Troubleshoot wireless.

If it says you need driver then import the driver from the Support Downloads webpage for your model PC. If problems with that, google for Win7 driver or post back the Hardware Identification of the wireless driver in error in Device Manager, which may be called a Network Controller if not identified further.

You didn't even have Win7 then, until it is fully patched. MS never gave us a SP2 so the complete OS is in all of those Updates.

If the wireless driver is not provided, then follow the steps I gave you very specifically.

So you can only connect by Ethernet? Did you get all your updates done?

Is your Wireless driver installed under Network Adapters in Device Manager?

Are there any devices in error (!) in the Device Manager?

If you want to install TeamViewer Download at all defaults and Private Message back to me Your ID and password from Teamviewer control panel, then leave it open on Desktop with Sleep and Hibernate disabled, I will connect and look over it for you.

Click on my screen name in one of my posts to see. I'll be back in a few hours. Leave TV open with Sleep and Hibernate set to Never for now.
