2.g Ghz band signal stronger than 5Ghz band

Is it odd that, according to InSSIDer, the 2.g Ghz band signal is stronger (-45) than that of the 5Ghz band (-61)? My router is a Netgear WNDR4500. Just wondering. Thanks.

It really depends on where your wireless router is compared to your computer.

5 GHz signals are effected more by walls, distance, etc. than 2.4 GHz.
