Red X on Internet Connection Icon, although Connected, attached info

    Hi,
I hope this is the correct thread category!
I have a red x on internet icon although I am connected. On trying to map the network to see where is the problem I get error message saying cannot complete the mapping.
There is nothing wrong in device manager and nothing when I run the network trouble-shooters.
That is the extent of my knowledge.
The event viewer is confusing to me.
When I run the network event manager I have many many errors and warnings! I don't know what to do now. Can anyone else with more knowledge advise me what is happening please?
I have saved the event log if anyone is willing to look at it for me. Unfortunately when I tried to attach it, it says it is an invalid format (evtx). How is best to send please?
I attach everything else that is required about my IP Configuration.
I have wireless router and I am only one on my network.
    Many thanks

Can you post a screen capture of System Tray part of the Taskbar?

The IP info you posted shows you have a Wired Ethernet connection and no Wireless. Are you supposed to have a Wir3eless connection (you mentioned a wireless router)?

Hi, do you mean you want a shot of the icon with the red X? or do you want to know what I have loaded at start-up? I have minimal start-ups: icons are sound, action centre notifications (nil), Panda (global protection), Trusteer Rapport (banking protection), creative cloud and language taskbar
You are right, I don't have a wireless anymore, I have the SuperHub which is connected by Ethernet cable, I connect my phone/printer etc wirelessly to it though. Sorry for confusion.

Do you know how to send a copy of the event logs? The format is not listed as a valid extension for here; perhaps I could cut and paste into wordpad? I suspect it is very long as there were many many events.

A picture of the bottom right hand side of the Desktop, like this:

ZIP the file first, then upload the resulting .zip.

This tutorial by Brink should be helpful to post pictures and screen shots.

if your internet connection icon became red x (image of monitor with red x) but you're connected to the internet... I think this will help...

Click Start Menu then search Device Manager and click "Scan for hardware changes"...

I have also got red x in icon before then i try that method and it's back to normal...

I'm hopefully this will help you...
