    Computer not visible in homegroup

I have a desktop and laptop on my home network. My laptop and it's shared files are visible/accessible to the desktop through homegroup and network in explorer but the desktop and it's shared folders are completely invisible to the laptop in explorer. HOMEGROUP/SHARING SETTINGS ARE EXACTLY THE SAME FOR BOTH PC'S. Passwords are both set correctly. I would really appreciate some help with this as I'm completely dumbfounded.

    Solved.

There was a site-blocking service installed on the laptop that for some reason was blocking communication on the network.
