Sharing to a particular host in a homegroup network.

    Hi,

I have a group of 8 computers, connected to a homegroup network. I have admin rights on all the computers.

Is it possible to share a file or folder only to a particular computer?

I want to collect the daily work report from the other 7 pc's. But they should not see what other people are sharing.

Also, by default the USER folder (i.e. downloads, desktop, etc). How can I turn off the sharing of a particular folder, say downloads?

I googled about the homegroup sharing, but I did not succeed in finding what I wanted.

    Any help is really appreciated.

    Thanks.

Hmm, I don't use a homegroup so not sure if this may help you.

Since you are admin on all machines (should work as long as you supply an authenticated admin credentials), you can try an administrative share:

In Windows Explorer address bar, type:
    \\nameofpc\c$\<folder location>

d$ if it is on d, etc.
ip of comp if nameofpc won't work

See if this would help you
