File sharing between Win 7 Desktop and Win 7 Laptop over Home Network

So, this is what I want to do, can anyone tell me if it is possible and if so how to do it? Thank you

I have a new Windows 7 Desktop that is fresh and has a large HDD. I have an old Windows 7 Laptop with a smaller HDD, but it has many files ie: Music, Movies, Games that i would like to be able to access(full permissions) to sometimes transfer or copy between. Now this may seem simple, but I want to share the root of the drive on the Windows 7 Laptop to the desktop and only the desktop! I say this because there is at least 4 other computers on my network that I DO NOT want to have any access to my files. Every time i go to the advanced file sharing in the root of the drive, it looks like it is trying to share it with access available to Everyone, which I do not want. Please, if you understand what I am trying to do and know the steps I would be very appreciative if you could help me. Thanks Guys

You can try with administrative share until someone show a better method:

In Windows Explorer address bar, type \\<IP address or comp name>\c$.
c$ can be any partition, d$, e$ etc.

It will look like this \\192.168.0.10\c$

Enter the credentials of an account on the desktop (which is also an admin) when asked for.

If it works for you, you can also add a network location (select Computer in Windows Explorer, right click empty space in right pane, click "Add a Network Location". Enter the above address when asked.
