    Can't Stop Sharing

Windows 7, Network Sharing Center, Change Advance Sharing, Public, Turn Off Printer and File Sharing. Every time I try to change this to turn off and click Save Changes, and then come back, the Turn On Printer and File Sharing is enabled again. If I go to Home group and uncheck Printer and Video under Share Libraries and Printers, and go back to see if changes are saved, the Printer and Video boxes are checked again. What's up with that? No, I'll give it a try but since it doesn't seem to take, I didn't restart. Chuck

Make sure you are using a administrator account.

See here: What to Do If You Cannot Turn Off Password Protected Sharing in Windows 8

My browser flagged this as a possible bad site, but it's not.

Thanks but I am using administrator account and sharing is not password protected. This is driving me crazy and I am concerned that this might be a security flaw. Chuck

Can you stop sharing through Computer Management - Shared Folders - Shares - right click and Stop Sharing?

Sorry but where is Computer Management? The sharing options are in the Network and Sharing Center. Chuck
