    remote desktop connection problem

I started using Remote Desktop connection in Windows 7 yesterday to connect to another computer in my home. Yesterday it worked fine, and was able to connect once this morning. However, the last time I tried I get this error message "Remote Desktop connection, an internal error has occurred." I haven't changed any settings. I've tried rebooting both machines, but still get the error message. Would greatly appreciate any suggestions.

First try to run RDP Client as admin.

If that doesn't solve it, try this fixit http://support.microsoft.com/KB/187614

Running as administrator, it did the same thing. I got the same error. Tried to run the fix it, it gave me this error: This Microsoft Fix It does not apply to your operating system or application version.

Create a manual system restore point and try the manual method of fixit. (PC not open at the moment to actually check the registry keys)

I followed the instructions, backed up everything. Went into the registry editor and deleted MSLicensing. I then opened Remote Desktop connection As administrator, Unfortunately still got the same error message. image of the error: http://gdurl.com/hN85

Hmm, I wonder if it is the server or the client. Do you have a smartphone or any other PC in house to try connecting with? I would guess if iPhone has a free rdp app, others would too
