Homegroup not showing all network computers
Until recently, my networking of computers in my home did not use HomeGroup, instead doing it "the old fashioned way" through Windows. With the installation of a new desktop PC on my network, I tried HomeGroup and it is not working as advertised.
I have three computers. One in Win7 Home Premium, one is Windows 8.1 and the new desktop is Win 7 Pro. All three appear under Network in Windows Explorer/File Explorer and I can access files and pictures that way.
I created the HomeGroup on the Win7 Pro machine. I joined the HomeGroup on the other two machines with the HomeGroup password. The Win7 Pro machine appears under HomeGroup as expected on the other two machines. However, the other two machines do not appear on any computer. The HomeGroup troubleshooter found nothing. All three computers are set "Home" at the network type.
Any suggestions out there on how to get HomeGroup working as it should?
Thanks,
Doug
