What is a Smart Location? Do I need the subscription to continue getting Fox News Online? One more thing: I also use Speedtest.net. How do I set Germany (or any other location) as you did?

I'll wait for you - no rush - I just want to learn a little about VPN's in general, ZenMate and definitely want to be able to watch Fox News Online. Perhaps after learning ZenMate, you could point me to some other sites I might be interested in. I am an intermediate with computers (pretty good) and always willing to learn something new that I can use. I've always wanted to set up a VPN but, honestly, I'm not sure what I would do with it. Guess if I do it, I'll learn from there. Please don't forget to teach me how to use Speedtest.net for locations other than the defaults. If you're willing to walk me through ZenMate and a regular VPN, I would be most grateful. If you do, perhaps email would be better. Your call - and thanks for the help!!

All of a sudden, I can't get to any web sites. Message says proxy server is shut down. I assume that means ZenMate? I disabled it an Firefox is working again. Please advise. Thanks.......

Hey, yeah ZenMate server might have a problem. Don't use it for your daily needs :) It is an added step. Good for stuff that you can't normally do.

I would try turn off/on ZenMate for problems like this, or change countries if one is down.

I checked Fox News when I got back home and true it is asking for ISP info when you actually go into the live broadcast. I saw the same thing in ESPN too. I am not sure if there is a solution with ZenMate for this particular problem. I researched some and articles from January this year don't mention anything about this. It may have changed recently.

What I found out is some people advice using "Smart DNS" services, however I am not sure if there are free ones.

    SpeedTest:
    - When you connect to any ZenMate server, you don't need to do anything special with SpeedTest, the default server that will come up when you load the page will be in that country.
    - You can also select any of the SpeedTest servers around the world. This is a SpeedTest feature, nothing to do with ZenMate. When SpeedTest page loads, (where you click "Begin Test"), you will see dots on the map, those are different servers (server nodes if there are a couple of servers in that particular location, it will show a list if so). You can use the world map just below to select the general area, and also pan using the world map or the map above.

I continue to get emails from ZenMate. Have you checked recently to see if the server is up? I'm anxious to see if I can receive Fox News (and maybe some other stuff with your help),

You can unsubscribe from the emails, at the bottom of the email. It is (USA server) working for me at the moment. I am not sure about Fox News but what other stuff are you talking about?

Well, first, can you tell me how to access Fox News Online. Am I correct in assuming that ZenMate is always working when I'm browsing with Firefox as long as it's enabled? Second, you mentioned in an earlier post that you access something in Turkey. I'd be interested in learning what else I can access through ZenMate that I can't access without it.

I use it to access banned sites. For example imgur. People here sometimes attach pictures from imgur and only way I can see them is if I use ZenMate.

For your first question, I don't know the address, I just search in Google and follow the link. It should be working but problems can occur. Flip it off/on if so and see if it works.
