want to start a home group using a laptop & desktop
I'm sure there must be articles here about what I want to do but after searching for 20 minutes or so, couldn't find a match so please forgive me if this resembles a repeat question.
We have 2 computers in the house ... a desktop & a Compaq CQ58 laptop ... both in different rooms and both running W7 Pro. The desktop (no wifi card) is hardwired to a Draytek Vigor2900G router which sits next to it, via an ethernet cable and the laptop is connected to the router via wifi. Connection to the net is excellent and it all works well.
However, we'd like to be able to swap/transfer photographs & other files etc. between the 2 computers via a home group system instead of first having to copy the stuff to a usb, unplugging it and then taking it to the other computer to transfer the stuff onto it. Not difficult but it's a pain!
Is there anyone here who can tell us the easiest & simplest way to achieve this please?
