Windows 7 Ultimate x64
Error 'code: 0x80070035 The network path was not found (VMWare)

Hello, I have a problem with my setup, i think it is a pretty common problem but i still cant find a solution that works for me, so maybe someone can help. I get the following error message on my Win 7 Ultimate virtual machine on VMWare Workstation 11.

"Error 'code: 0x80070035 The network path was not found"

Here is the setup.
Desktop, SF-PC1, Win 7 Ultimate x64, Wireless, Host.
Laptop, JB-PC1, Win 7 Ultimate x64, Wired.
VM on Desktop host, SF-PC3, Win 7 Ultimate x64. Bridged.

The desktop and laptop can both access each other and the VM.
The VM can access the laptop.

The problem is that the VM can not access the Desktop/host SF-PC1.
Can anyone please help.... not looking for a work around, would really like to know the real issue and solution.

I have just found out that if i put my desktops ip address in the windows explorer address bar with \\ first then it accesses the desktop/host just fine. The ip addy appears in the network list with the other computers. This seems to be just a work around though as close explorer and the link disappears.

Anyone now how to get the ip addy/link to stay always in the network list?

Still looking for a proper solution to this problem.
Thanks again.
