    Installed connectify now getting Qualcomm Atheros Direct connect error


    Hi All

    Was a bit naughty tried to install Connectify to my company pc so I could get wifi on my phone. It did not work and I started getting every 2 seconds "QUALCOMM Atheros Direct has stopped working" - I unistalled Connectify and no joy. I am using windows 7

    I cannot find a Qualcomm adapter just the Dell one - which for some reason has a #2 next to it. I tried to find updated drivers but all the forums that have links to the Qualcomm adapters lead to a page that no longer exists - and no where on the qualcomm atheros site can I find drivers.

    I tried to redownload the dell drivers for my adapter and resinstalled them - no joy.

    I have wifi and it seems to work fine - just this stupid error box keeps popping up.

    I am desperate as IT do not know I have admin rights on my PC and I am worried I caused the issue trying to install connectify.

    How can I resolve this Qualcomm Atheros direct has stopped working problem?

    Do a System Restore to before you did this, that should fix it.
