    No Blutooth available

I had to reinstall 7 using the ISO from the tutorial by Greg that I had saved back in February (before it was removed form Heidoc site) because the original 7 Pro drive went south.

Everything is fine except there is no option to pair to Blu tooth devices as I was before. Have downloaded the Blu tooth driver/s for Asus but still cannot find any Blu tooth options in Network etc

Is there any way I can add this option ? update or what?

Now I have spare Home Premium OEM's but this machine was made for 8 that carried an option for Windows 7 Pro and I am not so sure the Home Premium will load on this machine.

BIOS is up to date to take Windows 7 drivers as per request from Asus that it is done before 7 drivers can be installed. This is my main machine right now and prefer Blu tooth as it doesn't need that little dongle to work.

John, which machine is this? Laptop/desktop? Did you enable Bluetooth with Fn key combo if applicable? Pro should work, no need to waste another license on it.

Hiyya Gokhan mate it is my Asus ROG G750JM and I have downloaded the drivers for the Blu tooth https://www.asus.com/us/Notebooks_Ul...Desk_Download/ and read the instructions from the Gigabyte site for the mouse (M7700B) but either the mouse has eaten the biscuit or the ISO I clean installed from is wrong (somewhere). I did try getting the machine to pick up Blu tooth devices and it picked up my phone but not this mouse.

The machine was made for 8 and I got the seller to install the 7 Pro as an option and I got the code from him to reactivate in case something went wrong with the drive I supplied (256GB 850 Pro). Couldn't quite afford the 500GB 850 Pro to reinstall so got the 850 EVO.

But this is the last in the LONG line of problems with this machine - which by the way I found was slightly cheaper to buy out here because it had been made in the US and I am gut guessing this bloke (and a few others) got a job lot of superseded models to sell of at bargain prices out here.

Am not sure what FN key to use I shall have to go look to see if I can find it in the online manual for this machine. Otherwise it is working ok - I just don't like having those wireless dongles hanging outside the machine after I broke one off during a trip to New Zealand and was stuck for ages trying to get the remnants out.

Ok mate can find no 7 Pro related Fn keys but in problem devices I did find what you can see in the picture and what I have done is to install both the drivers from the Asus site and saved the problem device driver but it does not relate to the mouse I have.

    Any ideas please?

Can you get the Hardware Id from Properties - Details in Device Manager? Anyway, Google suggest it is Bluetooth related.

Maybe you need to re-install the drivers, or uninstall the device (remove driver software too, when asked) and restart to make Windows re-install it.

In order for your Function Keys to work you need the ATKACPI driver and hotkey-related utilities..

And the Keyboard Device Filter Utility for certain Functions ...

Sorry late reply Gokhan first up the Device manager is as in the pics in turn.

Brian the machine is running 7 and I used the Control panel to do that - nothing and

torchwood I think I mentioned earlier it picks up my phone no problems almost instantaneously so having done all this I think maybe the mouse is dead although it lights up when turned on. Having said that my phone says it is paired but the computer says nothing. So in addition to the mouse being "dead" maybe the OS I downloaded did not have a Blu tooth program or what ever.

I Googled the Gigabyte M7700B mouse and all you get is a small reference n how to switch it on from support apart from everyone is suggesting and I cannot see anything for a driver http://download1.gigabyte.us/Files/M..._manual_en.pdf it mentions a pairing code but there is no Blu tooth icon to be found anywhere in the Control Panel or in the Notifications Area Icons.

I have my old install repair disk maybe I might try that - any thoughts on that ?

An update what about this - as the machine was made for / with Windows 8 and I downgraded to 7 I just looked at the drivers for 7 and 8 on the Asus site now it looks like they are a tiny bit and slightly different and I am wondering if the 8 drivers would bring back the Blu tooth application??
