Noob question here
I would like to change the MAC address of a networked computer

The MAC address is hard coded into the hardware by the manufacturer and is not changeable by the user
You may be able to spoof the address the adapter provides to the network
How (and Why) to Change Your MAC Address on Windows, Linux, and Mac
Thanks Barman
That is exactly what I want to do but when I change the network card settings I get a network error
What kind of error you are getting? Screenshot perhaps?
Some vendor software will not work if you change the first 6 characters of the MAC address. It ignores the adapter and you might not get an IP.
