    Sharing / Saving on 2 W7 PCs

I'll try and make this brief and concise. U is ultimate, P is pro.

This is on my home network
    no home group
W7P acts as a file server and regular PC
MY W7U accesses and saves on 7P.
7U has a user name on 7P and vice versa w/full rights.
7P has always had a problem saving in 1 of their own folders, which happens to be the main folder we use....jobs etc...
It always says 'you don't have rights, My Dox instead?' Because of this we put a shortcut in My Dox that leads to the folder system where there are no rights. LONG standing issue that we just worked around.

    Current:
7U upgraded to W10 and then back to 7U. I redid all shares and added 7U as a user to the 7P. Full admin.
7U now has the same problem as above.
I can access but I cannot save to 7P. Unless I am flat out missing something I have FULL read/write rights.

Does this seem familiar? I am read to wipe and reinstall the 7P because it does not have rights to it's OWN folder system unless it goes through My Dox!

    EDIT!
I was going to say that this folder is not on the C drive but the D drive (not that it matters) but as I was looking at the folder I noticed that if you rt click and go to sharing it is NOT SHARED. So although it shows as sharing in Computer Management it does not show as shared in the explorer/folder's actual properties. Bizarre. Seems like the best thing to do is remove all shares and start over. I will say that, unlike my typical way, I shared through C. Mgmt and not by rt clicking the folder in explorer.

I would like to thank everyone for their help and support! Mucho appreciationo!

But....why did the shares not work in the first place? It almost seems like the shares need to be done through explorer/folder rather than through CMgmt but that does seem logical at all.

W7P still can't save to her own folder system :-/ However, that is an old problem and we have a workaround for it so I'm not going to deal with it at this point. Unless someone has a solution. Otherwise, solved.

Guess I get to talk to myself some more! It's happening again. I cannot access a folder on W7P and save.
I have shared the ENTIRE hard drive to me w/ALL access.

    Thanks
