    Good Morning..

Well after a few hours yesterday of productive stuff for nearly a week I slept well thank you to GokAy and the temp everyone fix

Yes I do understand the absolute Full access to all and everything could lead to terrible problems but as I am then only one (ever) who touches my computers I don't feel so threatened.. however..

I will use your script with many thanks so that at least it all back to what I guess is consided 'normal'.

I have attached the Getshareinfo results and the net share results so you can see exactly where we are now (before I disable all shares for the script run).

Well I ran the create_shares.bat first and it completed it's job, then ran the set_ntfs_perms.

This started then stopped after 4 lines.. The cursor still blinking.

Not sure whether it has done it's job or not.

    Ah haaaa..

It's still going down to L:\ now. Obviously needed a little time.

    Wonderful scripts.

Also noticed that there is No access again from others to WebMain. Looked in Shares and it says Everone , yet in Security Everyone has gone.

Should I add manually Homegroup to Shares ?

    Thnx

    Okay.. 'Done'

Successfully processed 1 files; Failed processing 0 files
    processed file: L:/
Successfully processed 1 files; Failed processing 0 files
    processed file: M:/
Successfully processed 1 files; Failed processing 0 files
    processed file: N:/
Successfully processed 1 files; Failed processing 0 files

    Done.

    Press any key to exit...
However Icannot access the drive from other boxes.

As above post, checked Shares and only 'everyone' is there whilst there is no 'everyone' in Security, which I guess is correct.

Should HomeUsers be also in the Shares ?

As I told in my previous post, this was expected. Instead of adding back Everyone lets try the better practice?

Network and Sharing Center - Advanced Sharing (top left) - tick "turn on password protected sharing" for the Home/work (private) networks.
Then if your account does not have a password, create a new one. CTRL ALT DEL should have a change password option, if not change from Control Panel - Manage Users.
When this method is successful you shouldn't need to add anyone else to Security tab. But we will see.
Restart both Webmain and the Pc you are trying to connect from just in case after changing settings and password.

Okay have done that, Turned 'on' Password in Network Sharing.

    Rebooted both.

Now when clicked on Network tree .. Webmain, I get the User Password Panel for Domain Lenovo2

Try the User and Password of the box but get taken to another Network User Password panel so try again but get' Unknown User name or bad password'.

The user and password is the same on all boxes.

Happens when username/password (called credentials) doesn't match one on the PC you are connecting to.

Most likely a credential issue. Did you reset the password on Webmain?
Looking at an earlier post of yours username should be David, password should be the new password.

    Ok, on Lenovo:
    - Open Manage Users (Control Panel) and click "Manage your credentials".
    - Click the Windows Credentials for Webmain (if there is) to expand it
    - Click edit and enter the correct values.

If still doesn't work, try disabling Firewall on both PCs to test (I don't believe this is the issue but doesn't hurt to test it)
