Thanks, that sounds reasonable. I'll give it a try when I get back into town on Friday. I'll let ya know how it turns out.
Tnx,
Dusty

Idisconnected the PC’s Ethernet from the LAN port on the TWC (primary) routerand plugged it into a LAN port on the Linksys (secondary) router. Still can’t connectto the Linksys’s management pages. I still get the “page cannot be displayed”message. I’m stumped. You post made more sense than any other so far. I’m readyto toss the whole thing into Lake Coeur d’Alene. Lol, that or buy a cheap cablemodem and make the Linksys the primary (read only) router. Just one morethought (oh-oh, there he goes thinking again) Maybe if I disconnected the cablefrom the primary router to the “Internet” port on the secondary router toaccess the management pages?
Sorry, very tried from traveling,
Dusty
When you connected the PC to the Linksys from the LAN port, did you check if IP was from the same subnet of Linksys?
- Make sure PC's IP is on auto and once connected to Linksys run in cmd:
This should get an IP from Linksys DHCP (if it is working). Also test whether you can ping the Linksys.Code:ipconfig -release ipconfig -renew
If still no go, try factory resetting the Linksys.
Another thing to check is read the manuals and learn which subnet both routers use by default. (Sorry if this was already covered, didn't check the 1st page :))
