    Hi again :)

    Right, strange happenings lol

Things were exactly the same last night with IE, Firefox and Chrome, so i decided to try another random browser ( one ive never heard of - SLIMBROWSER )

Guess what? My laptop is working fantastically with this browser ( but nothing with the others i mentioned above !!!! ) To be honest, any browser to me is " a browser " so makes no difference which i use ............ but its got me stumped as to why these other browsers dont work anymore ?????

Thank you so much for your help, i shall continue using this browser over this weekend to ensure all stays good ......... just a little annoying as im not used to this browser, but am sure i will learn :)

UPDATE : Sunday 18th - Seems ok apart from now i cannot do windows updates ( looks like it stuck.....continuosly searching and nothing happens.......also wont upgrade browsers or adobe ????

    Lee,
Sky have there own security products that come with the package, they are optional thou.
Can you log in to your sky account, and check which if any you have enabled.
I do know they have an AV, Web filter etc.

Just had a look at your other thread re updating,
What i suspect was/is happening, where you were downloading those updates and browsing the web you are using up all of the bandwidth that your comp has, (and you need more DDR2 ram to improve its performance).
Hence everything is backing up like a queue on a motorway.
Once those 200+ updates have downloaded i suspect you will be able to browse quicker.
