Subnet mask and gateway all 0's

Hello Have Samy UN40ES6100. Previously, tv used a wired connection. It was ran a short while wifi, maybe 4 yrs ago. Now physically moved to an apt and must use wireless on this tv. Also now have a different router modem ATT uverse. Unit is Arris NVG589. I obtain an a mac IP address, but 0's for subnetmask and gateway. I've done a couple factory resets on tv and firmware is up to date. (no longer supported) The router is found during the setup of tv and am able to put in the security key. Just get a failure to connect. I have connected to router/modem in living room, my wired main tv and wireless laptop and my iphones. No issues other than the wireless wifi tv at fault in bedroom. I use a Cisco extender that is in bedroom and works great. Distance from modem/router to bedroom tv is may 40'. Have not tried to reboot router/modem Didn't think there was a need. This tv has a wireless tuner for the uverse. I want the wifi on tv for Netflix and for the Allshare function. Any thoughts? I'm new at this so I'm a bit lost. Have done all I know to do, minus pull tv and stick in living room and hard wire it to modem. Thx for any help. DM

Ok so drug tv near modem. Plugged directly in and all fields have numbers. I think my wireless component is bad in tv. Going to buy another tv locally Walmart and try same thing. If it fires right up wireless my then this pitching old tv. Samsung made it real handy that I can not even rewrite the firmware, as that could possibly be the issue.

Theres an easy solution.

Just connect via the cable, and write down all the values, type "ipconfig /all"
You need: iP address, subnet mask, default gateway, DNS server 1, DNS server 2

Now disconnect the cable and reconnect the wifi. But this time, disable DHCP/automatic address assignment, and choose manual, and enter in all the same details from above.

Part of the issue, is the screen I need to do this in keeps kicking out to the screen prior. Something is glitchy. That tv is not out of the way. Went to Wally World and grabbed new un43J5200 and worked flawlessly. May look at it again but think it was toast. Thx for info
