Wifi button dont work in windows 7

Now it's working...and i did it all by myself...so now it's running like clockwork...it's was the damn UAC...when I've changed the settings it I could get Launch Manager to start and there was the Wifi...and I've discovered something else, when the UAC was disabled the gadgets was not working, there was no way of starting them...so i used Google and it was some setting Microsoft did that gagdets wont start when UAC is off...now why in Gods name do they wanna something like that?

Force the gadget-freaks out there to use UAC ???

I would not recommend turning UAC off. This is a security tool to protect your PC! :)

If the things you have to protect you is WORSE than the things it made to protect against...WHAT do you do then?

Having UAC that wont let you even delete a file without confirmation witch happens EVERY F*** DAY or get an infection of malware witch happens...well, I've had it two times last 6 months...and it took about two-three hours to clean the system up...so tell me...witch is WORST?

The F****** UAC is there every day and I hate it....

I actually have to ask for permission to move a file, open a program ON MY OWN COMPUTER!!!!

I'm for the malware, the virus or anything else that comes along!

Some thoughts regarding your post:
(Note: I'm currently running UAC set to Always Notify.)

File copy & UAC:
I'm copying a lot of files between several partitions and external disks, and never get bothered by UAC.
You might want to check your permission settings for those partitions/folders. Once set up properly, this should be a non-issue.

The only places where UAC kicks in are Windows system folders/files, and that I consider a VERY good thing.

Software & UAC:
Concerning that, you might want to try Bypass UAC for Standard Users. I'm running a couple of system utilities that way, and never had a problem so far.

Anyway, also here, UAC will only prompt if the program intends to make changes to the system. And also here, I'd say once configured properly, UAC shouldn't bother you during daily use.

It's for exactly that attitude, that there are still that many vulnerable systems around. People that disable security features or don't feel the need to install security patches, updates, etc. just because it's inconvenient. How well this works, and how well those people are protected we can see on a daily base. Just look at the most recent case, the spread of Conficker. Well yeah, just my 2 Cents

I'd like to add my two cents, too. The new Windows 7 UAC is MUCH more lenient and less intrusive than it was in Vista. But on my Vista machine, I never turned it off, despite there being thousands of web pages that tell you how to do it. That is one of the primary features that protects your OS from viruses, trojans, and other malware. In the period that I've had Vista (over 2 years), I have never been troubled by these dangerous pests, but back when I had XP, I was always getting infected no matter how careful my surfing and downloading habits were. And the situation gets worse every day...

I read awhile back that unverified gadgets are a MAJOR source of security attacks and that's why UAC has (had) to be on to run them. I say had because gadgets work with UAC on for my 7022. Go figure.
