Wifi button dont work in windows 7
Hi!
My Wifi button dosn't seen to work in Windows 7 Beta...it works fine in Vista but I can't run Vista on my Amilo Li1718 since its so slow...XP would be fine but it's the same problem whit wifi there...ok, I know it can be done but XP? naah...however, I've changed the settings in BIOS to activare wireless but that dosn't do the trick in Windows 7...I've downloaded two diffent copies of Launch Manager which is the software to controll the wifi button but none of them will even start in Windows 7 wich is a mystery to me...In my Vista install it the Launch Manager that controlls the wifi button...and it's installed and works fine in Vista
so, anyone who knows WHAT to do?
Could it be the UAC that prevents Launch Manager to start?
I've read that any Vista drivers/programs should work fine in Windows 7 but that dosn't seem to be tha case or have I downloaded the work program? (But I don't think so)
I have had Vista on this laptop for almost a year now...and i't driving me MAD...it's good-looking but you just can't do anything...it's so slow and when you reinstall Vista it's ok for a while then things are really getting nasty...and I'm cleaning the system up regulary...I wipe out all thoose autostart options every program seems to have now days...but ok, when you look at the memory and stuff...you know WHY i'ts slow but hey..I only use it for writing and surfing the net...keeping software to a minimum...
I have a other computer...a memory monster and it runs Vista like a pice of cake...its quite fast even for Vista...everyone seems to be amazed at the speed of it...it runs Vista and Mandriva 2008 in dualboot and that Mandriva thing is even faster...
I've tried to install both Mandriva and Ubunto on my laptop...works fine but no wifi...so I've skipped them...the POINT of having an laptop is wireless connection...not stuck to a cable...XP could possibly work but it feels like stoneage...
Windows 7 runs like clockwork on the laptop but no wifi...
WHY in gods name dont Fujitsu support ANYTHING but Vista...Vista is not made for cheap laptops with small memory size...anyone knows that!
I mean...HOW can you ship a laptop whit an operating system that needs twice the memory of witch it have???
