I was originally talking about putting one in my car, but I ended up getting one to plug into my laptop which has a more powerful Wifi Receiver so that I can get Wifi that is further away.

So i have a TP link router downstairs and a prolink wireless extender in my room. I pushed the WPS button on the main router and then on the prolink extender and it worked. It automatically connected to the wifi and working. However I want to change some settings on the extender but I can't connect...
I want to extend my Wi-Fi using a Ethernet cable. Most extenders seem to provide a Ethernet Socket rather than use one to extend the Wi-Fi signal. I don't need anything fancy. Can anyone recommend anything suitable.
