    Internet stops working when downloading.

Hey peeps, im having this really annoying problem when i download something or skyping someone the internet stops and i get the yellow exclamation symbol on the signal strength bar in the bottom right,it lasts for about 30 seconds and then it starts working again.Sometimes it doesn't even show the yellow symbol.I have quite low speeds as it is and trying to download things take ages and this just corrupts,or cancels all my downloads.

Cam not knowing what sort of net set up you have makes giving you an answer easy so what are you using wifi (fixed or mobile), cable, the strength of your local providers signal.

Ok look it could have been anything really and what I was going to suggest was doing these in safe mode and just a s by the by the sfc is sometimes best run for more than two runs. These sometimes clear the problem if not then I usually try a system restore then a repair install and then a clean install last resort. Al thos fixes can be found in the tutorials
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
Disk Check < if necessary include the /f and /r in the command line as per Option2

Ok so did you run the sfc just once ? because it is often better to give it two to three runs and the chkdsk I still think would not go amiss.

Plus I would be scanning those machines with these
SUPERAntiSpyware | Remove Malware | Remove Spyware - AntiMalware, AntiSpyware, AntiAdware!
    Malwarebytes | Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium
    AdwCleaner Download
delete any rubbish found with the malware scans
(NB If one is running Kaspersky security it may rant about ADW - just ignore it or disable Kaspersky while the ADW is being used)

ok il do some more scans, but how will doing the chkdsk command do anything?isn't it for the hard drive?I already have malwarebytes and i have avira antivirus and they found only an adware thing.Do you think it could be a setting that i have the router set to do ,so when the bandwith is low its stops?I can go on my routers page and change something if i need to...

Cam I am only eliminatings things as we go along hence the scans as I like to use the simplest things first. The chkdsk mate is slightly different to sfc in that it checks the sectors etc on the hard drive and will attempt a fix on out of whack stuff it finds and even repair stuff hence the /f and .r switches. But the choice is yours.

Now the modem or modem/router whichever you are using I think if it has any such settings then you would have had to change them in the past and if not then should be ok. Now if it were me if the device beit a modem/router or a modem and a router just out of curiosity how old are it/they? Because I would personally look at renewing it as you can pick a really quite decent one now for a good price. My own one a TP-Link W8960D has served me for many years without any problems. One you might consider is this
TP-Link TD-W8968 300Mbps Wireless N USB ADSL2+ Modem Router - $50 where I am and again personally I like a combo and then use hubs it I want extra connections ( I have had up to five machine connected to my own device at one time with no ill effects. I am not pushing TP-Link but I consider them really good value for money and really good on support.

I think the router is actually quite new,its a TP-LINK model:TL-WR841N 300Mbps, can a browser cause this?Im just think of any random thing, because i was downloading on steam and then all i did was go on firefox look up something and it made the wifi stop.Oh and the other thing was when it happened i had enough time to run the troubleshooter compared to other times as it happens so quickly and the troubleshooter doesn't get enough time to check. It said Your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device or resource (primary DNS server) is not responding.I went to these sites and followed the instructions https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2779064 and http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/w...0-5593d9b29c20 but my problem with downloading still happens.
