    Computer Hiding

Hey guys! If for example i connect to a public/neighbor's WiFi, how can i make my pc invisible from the network so no one can basically view my device. You know, similar to what hackers do to protect their identity.

Gerard going on first look sounds like what you are asking is a little dubious thing to do - so why would you want to do that??

While I cannot understand you using your neighbor's WIFI, I can understand you using public WIFI such as Starbucks, just to name one of many. Control Panel --> Network/Sharing --> Change Advanced Sharing Settings. You will find two areas. I turn off all folder and file locating and sharing, turn off something else [can't rmemeber the phrasing], turn ON password protection; Save Settings. It's important to save settings. When you get home, if you want your other computers to commune with the one you go to public places with, you have to reverse the settings and save the changes.

Not sure if Albania allows the use of neighbours services with or without permission but we cannot support something that is basically theft
