    How to easily connect to a proxy or VPN via ad hoc Wi-Fi on my PC?


    So, I have have VPN and proxy connections to various servers on this PC. I can also easily set up as an ad hoc Wi-Fi hot spot by Windows' default feature, so other devices can connect to the Internet through it. The missing link is, that the connected devices should also connect to the VPN or proxy my main PC connects to, not to the 'bare' Internet. What are easy-to-follow steps to accomplish this, if I'm not a networking expert.

    As I tried Googling for this, I have found that this might be much more complicated than I first thought.

I connect two external USB hard drives and (sometimes) several thumb drives through a 7 port USB hub. Short of a system shut down :confused:, does anyone know of a way to eject all devices simultaneously? I frequently need to move my notebook to other locations and back.

well, despite the hype... I had a 17.1 gig image on a WD passport that I wanted to copy to another passport. Ran it (the copy process) through Win7 Pro on a laptop with 3g memory.... totally locked up once copy was finished. {oh, and it worked on XP and actually took about 33% less time}
