PC not connecting to internet or network

I am guessing this is the right place, earlier this PM the PC disconected from the internet and has been reconnecting and disconnecting since,
I have run through a few things i could think of including drivers (says they are up to date)
I have tried the cable in the laptop and the laptop stayed connected

Additional information its saying in the network infor that the network cable is unplugged (it wasent) so again i plugged it into the laptop and its working fins in fact its connected while i do this update
I dont know if this helps but the 2 lights you get where it`s plugged into the PC keep going off (i know one flashes anyway)

Micky a big stick for an AV is not a good idea so please run these at least
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
Disk Check < if necessary include the /f and /r in the command line as per Option2
Run these in safe mode and the sfc often best run for two to three runs

    if no fix then these

SUPERAntiSpyware | Remove Malware | Remove Spyware - AntiMalware, AntiSpyware, AntiAdware!
    Malwarebytes | Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium
    AdwCleaner Download
ADW download from bleeping computer delete any rubbish found with the malware scans
(NB If you are running Kaspersky as the main AV then it might need disabling it when trying ADW because it does not like it at times)

To go on have you checked the board joints where the Ethernet cable is attached as I cannot quite make out if you are using cable or wifi It could be what is known as dry joints (have become unsoldered) or bad caps -t ey look bloated or are leaking foul muck see pics - check the whole board where you can and please try and put some sort of SAV on the machine something is better than nothing. See this Free Windows Desktop Software Security List | Gizmo's Freeware < real time ones htough stay clear of AVG,MuckAfee, and Comodo (ok if you don't mind the nagging)

Ok Micky keep us up to date and just personally the McAfee I am not a fan of at all if the issue starts again try disabling it or inmy humble opinion I would replace it and if you want to yourself see this

Free Windows Desktop Software Security List | Gizmo's Freeware > real time section > steer clear of AVG, McAfee (of course) Comodo unless you lie a nag or two and anything that one dosen't hear much of a mention of .

Myself I use Kaspersky and it is good and cheap mine costs me around $0..35 a day on a 3PC x 2 year licence but the choice and budget of course are yours.
