One file not in Documents Library

I have one file that does not show up in the Documents Library. When I am using my notebook and look at the Documents Library, I can see all the files stored in Documents on my Desktop, which is where the files actually reside. There is one specific file thay does not show up. However I can see that file if I navigate to Users/UserName/Documents. Any ideas? I checked to make sure that file didn't have any permissions restrictions.

    TIA

    Hi

Is there something special about the file or folder? what is its name and where is it located?

After a closer look, I realized there were many files not showing in the default Documents Library. I had added the network folder but only some of the docs were showing up. On a whim, I created a new Library that included that networked folder and I can see all of the documents. Makes me think there is some setting in the default Library that is causing it not to show all files..?

Also had missing file in Documents library

I also created a new Word document in my My Documents folder that was not showing up in Library/Documents that includes that same folder. Nothing special about the file. I actually moved out of My Documents (to the Desktop) and then back into My Documents and it showed up.

Does anyone know if there is a cache somewhere that keeps track of the files that can become corrupted? I had to reset something like that for the Windows Media Player library, maybe need to so the same of libraries.
