Don't you have to have 5e or 6 cables for gigabit speeds?

I have 5e but not in the length I need, I`m working on that now :)

I need about 75 feet for a straight run up to the 2nd floor.

Yes, I posted a link on cable speeds earlier.

Cat5e is fine for a Gigabit network, but Cat6 is optimal :) if you can afford it.

But web pages load much slower with 1 Gbps, maybe it has to work with IPv6 and Verizon doesn`t have that here yet, have to research that, so it`s back to 100 Mbps and they load way faster.

You probably weren't getting 1 gbps from your isp anyway.

towns, you are totally confused, a 1 Gbps network has nothing to do with your ISP.

It`s the speed at which all the computers on the network can talk to each other, 1000 Mbps.

This is my speed from Verizon, which, once again, has nothing to do with your Local Area Network speed.

Just renewed our contract and went 75/75 but with the NIC set to 1000 Mbps on this Sabertooth the web pages still load way slower then using 100 Mbps, I don`t understand it.

My HP Pro 6300 SFF is not having any issues with web pages loading fast at 1000 Mbps.

That was exactly my point. You aren't getting a gig connection to the internet because your provider isn't providing it.
