You downloaded the driver - did you unzip the file and try to install the driver? If so, what were the results? Did Windows say you already have the most current driver?

yes i installed it, but all that came up was the program that is made for a planex wireless. its just a utility. it didnt replace the driver. and i also went in and foun the driver folder, tried to manually replace it but it said i had the most recent.

Did you go to the device manager and attempt to update the driver that way?

Right click it in device manager. Update driver software. Browse my computer. Let me pick. Have disk. Browse. Now find and double click on the .inf. Hit ok. Hit next and let it install.

nothing. maybe it is because the driver is outdated. still bouncing around bewteen 700 and 20kbps. but mainly at 60.

so no matter what driver i have on it... it is the same. i wouldnt be so cunfused if it wasnt hitting 700 kbps though... that is a slap in the face

Are you sure you dont have any firewalls that might be blocking some? Go to dslreports.com and run a speed test and give us the numbers.
