Windows 7 home premium will does not have option for wifi

    Hello there.
I have been trying everything I can to get my dell laptop to run windows 7 home premium, especially with getting wifi available. I would go to a specific part of this forum but to be honest I really have no idea what it may be though I have high belief it maybe be due to updates since my computer refuses to check for updates.

I am willing to provide any detail and/or info on what kind of laptop I am actually running on, what I did prior to coming here for help, etc. I am begging for help with this since I thought I was a real computer geek and could fix anything but as you can see, that is not the case. If I did want someone to fix it, it would be sixty-dollars which I would rather not pay since I was just trying to freshly clean the laptop and put windows 7 home premium on it so a friend could have it.

Again, the main problem I have had is that there is absolutely no option for wifi. No adapter for it, no option to set up a new one, nothing. I know the laptop does do wifi do to me using it before perfectly fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated or any advice such as I should just give up on the old heap of junk haha.

    Hi and welcome to SevenForums,
Can you do a wired connection using Ethernet cable ?

You can use the link above my signature to fill in your system spec's page
Click Start and type in the search box
    system information
Click on the suggestion or hit the enter key

You should land on the system summery page
On the top left go to edit and Select all
    Then Edit again and Copy

Open a reply here and right click and Paste.

Windows updates well that has been quite a popular problem
Review this for an older existing updating issue,
Windows Update will not update and I've tried multiple fixes

Post a snip of Device Manager.

Did you install the wifi network adapter drivers ?

Why did you have to reinstall Windows 7 ??

    Hi,
An easy way to find your drivers on dell site is use the s/n tag number and you won't have to look through their menu for this machine

Then just enter it here in the service tag list on the left,
