Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit 7601 Multiprocessor Free Service Pack 1

Say John, would it be helpful me downloading any of these other drivers? Like maybe the Bios?

I don't really know what Bios are.

Ok Joe now these are the drivers which includes the BIOS updates - now a word of warning updating the BIOS can be risky because if anything disturbs the update for whatever reason it can brick the board.
Some brands of boards come with a dual BIOS so that if the first one gets wrecked you can switch to the back up one but I don't think your board has that

BIOS is actually Basic Input Output System and when you turn on the power to the machine it checks that the different hardware etc is turned on in the right order so for example if you set the machine to boot from the hard drive then you set that in the BIOS. The settings for the BIOS are accessed by powering on and tapping the BIOS key for the board you have - I have an Asus board in this main desktop of mine and my two workhorse laptops and it can be the DEL or F2 key that you tap and you will end up with a screen showing the different areas of functions within the BIOS. Now there are two types of BIOS now what is called the legacy type and the newer EUFI type which you have on that board see the pic for what it looks like. Also you can see what you do with the BIOS in this but please do not try doing stuff unless you know what to do you only need to post a thread and ask

As I previously said if the BIOS is wrecked then the board is useless because the firmware it sits on is not a replaceable component.

Now it would be a very good idea to have a good read of this

Just one last thing unless you are having problems with graphics for example updating is not usually necessary - a tip is I like to download updates to a USB stick especially for the LAN and WLAN and Blu tooth simply because you have to have a connection to the net if the driver is not installed then you will not get a connections and it is simple to install those drivers from the stick
