Files copied over the network are 8 hours behind

    Hi,

I'm using Windows 7 Pro (64 bit) and I noticed that when my external hard drive (WD 2TB) is connected to a USB port on my laptop, any file I copy over to it is fine, in that it has the same "modified" date and time stamp. However, if I connect the same drive to my router and copy a file 'across the network', so to speak, then the copied file has a "modified" date and time that is 8 hours behind the original file. Both use the NTFS file system and the date/time settings on the router are all correct. Anyone have an idea what is going on and how to fix it? Thanks.

That's just plain weird. Have you tried doing a reset of the router?

Does changing the date/time setting on the router effect the date/timestamp of the files?

Does the same thing happen iwth other drives attached to the router or only that one?
