I am not sure what you mean by your post but perhaps it is us who have not been clear enough: the DNS setting needs to be changed on the ethernet adapter, not on the router
Can you check what IPv4 and IPv6 addresses your router has assigned to the various devices on your network? This needs to be checked on the router. Also please post with the exact make and model of your router.

    Make of router: MOFI3500-3GN 4G/LTE
    System: Ralink RT3052 id:1 rev:3
    Processor: MoFi Network MOFI3500-3GN
Firmware Version: 9.0-std (Powered by OpenWrt Barrier Breaker (r36346) / LuCI 9.0-std)
    Load: 0.87, 0.31, 0.14
    Memory: 28.61 MB (19% cached, 6% buffered, 11% free)

Oddly today was the fist day in over a month that when I boot my system up it was still private profile and not public.

    1. IPv6 is enabled on the router. disable that, especially since AFAIK your ISP does not offer any IPv6 adresses.
    2. WINS is enabled
    3. Change DNS to 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 (these are open DNS adresses)

Once you have disabled IPv6 go into device manager and uninstall the Microsoft ISATAP Adapter.
Sorry, to clarify my response was to line one of this post.

it seems you can't disable IPv6 on your router, but I am waiting to see what you can tell me about the adresses, both IPv4 and 6 seen from your router interface, and if changing the DNS adress has helped.

So I should change the adapter settings from automatic to manual and use those DNS you provided?
I found alternate optional DNS setting on my router and it is set to 8.8.8.8 4.2.2.2
When i selected advanced view it shows, use custom DNS 8.8.8.8 and 4.2.2.2
I also did a search in my registry today and look for my network name and it was listed in the un-managed profiles setting.

Is there no way to edit something so that windows is forced to used private when it connects to Mofi network?

The problem in your case is that Windows thinks it's a new network. I think one of the links provided above by Chitownbob will lead you to that kind of solution.
I am more partial to not creating a security hole and so, yes, please Re check the settings on your network card, both DNS and Ipv6 as according to the ipconfig result the adapter is still accepting an Ipv6 adress

Actually its a mystery to me how you get any internet connectivity if your router also thinks it is the dns server. Based on your ipconfig.
