Internet slower than it's supposed to be.

    Hello.

    EDIT:
Just saw the thread with the requirements so I should put them here.

    Connection is wired
    My ISP is WIND HELLAS
    Connection is VDSL (50mbps)
    Router: ZyXEL VMG1312-B10A
I use Malwarebytes and Advanced System Care. And the windows firewall ofc too.
    And for the ipconfig /all

To get straight to the point, I have 50Mbps/5mbps down/up internet connection
I usually use speedtest.net to test my speed and all seems to be really good.
    I get 46mbps down and 5~ up.

I usually download using IDM (internet download manager) so I always get at least 6MB/s every time..
But I noticed this on twitch.tv today. I can't even stream source quality without a lot of buffering and sometimes even in high resolution (which is 720p) even then it buffers sometimes.
So I decided to check some other sites for speedtest like testmy.net cause a guy from twitch said on reddit that speedtest (which I've been using since forever) sucks cause it's flashbased, and it doesn't give good results.
So my results from testmy.net and 1-2 other sites were all the same.. 4-7 mbps down and 5 mbps up

Now I know for a fact that if I wanna be sure about what my internet speed is, I can just go to (e.x.) nvidia's site and download drivers.. So I did that and from the looks of it the download speed from Chrome (which I'm using) didn't go over 800kBps. I copied the link and tried to download the drivers with IDM and as expected I got 6+mBps.
I also tried downloading them using firefox and it didn't go over 650kBps too.

Can anyone help me fix this problem?
Cause as a matter of fact, I can download with my full speed since I have tried it multiple times with IDM.
So I don't think it's my ISP, right?

    Thanks in advance.

First you will have to find out whether it is a problem with your computer or the isp.It will be helpful if you run a speedtest on another computer or smartphone to see if the problem is with your computer or not. There is a chance that your ISP is throttling your connection or your computer infected with malware which is consuming all your bandwidth.

I tried to do an internet test on testmy.net and using the speedest.net app for android on my phone and both gave same results as on desktop.
Though due to wifi I got 25mbps download from speedest I got 2.5mbps from testmy.net ........
Also I forgot to say that torrents and steam also download with my full speed. (up to 5.5/6MBps).
I will contact my ISP tomorrow and ask if they know what's going on.

Also, I think the whole thing might have started when I used the iobit internet booster. I tried to get the default settings using a sg tcp internet optimizer (or something like that) but nothing changed..

Any suggestions to help are appreciated.
    Thanks again.

    Hi Micumon,
The only option you need to change in ASC is the Bandwidth selection leave the rest alone.
if i remember correctly 50/100/200/300/etc (mbs) set it to the same value as your >> ethernet driver << capacity, i assume 1GB. (just move/click the slider to it)

HOWEVER >> AS << you have another optimiser/tune-up program then you will end in conflict mode and the lowest value will be used.
    (This includes certain Anti-virus suites)
SET THEM ALL TO THE SAME VALUE

I uninstalled ASC after I did what you said and nothing changed and then put the settings from SG TCP Optimizer to optimal.
I set the bandwidth to 100+Mbps since it's the maximum and my line I believe is 100mbit.
When I uninstalled ASC I saw a boost on the speedtest from testmy.net but now it seems to be back to 4-5mbps..

Also I contacted my ISP and they said that they see my line being perfectly fine and since I can download with full speed with IDM and Steam, then the problem is most likely not theirs.

So the problem must be mine.. They told me to test it using another pc/laptop but we don't have one available :/.

Idk if formatting would help.. should I try it?

formatting will help if its your computer's problem.but theres a lot of other option you can try before it.Do this step by step.after every step check if the problem is solved
    1)reset your router
2)Disable all browser plugins and extensions
    3)clear all cookies
4)clear all browsing history(you may export them if you want it later)
5)clear all cache and temporary internet files(ccleaner does this task )
after all this is done, hopefully your problem will be solved but if its not the case, continue with the next step
after that run these commands in admin mode in cmd
    ipconfig/flushdns
    ipconfig/release
    ipconfig/renew
    netsh winsock reset
    netsh int ip reset reset.log
    netsh int ipv6 reset reset.log
    netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log

    netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt

    hope this solves your problem

The last 4 commands gave me a "There's no user specified settings to be reset."
But somehow when I was done with the commands I tried to download from nvidia and it started at 4MB/s then fell down to the minimum of 1800KB/s and then went up to 3.5/3.7MB/s.
I guess that means it's somehow fixed in a way..
    I mean.. it doesn't reach 5MB/s but From 600-700KB/s to 3700+KB/s it's a fix xD
Also I haven't tried restarting the system. So that might make it better too after some settings are applied lol.
    Thanks for the help!
