Hello Jager now mate what AV are you using because my Kaspersky suite does disable the Windows firewall as a matter of course because it has it's own firewall.

I am wondering just what you mean by surveillance too if you mean can someone see just what you are doing when on the net then well everything is possible but if you have some security system on board then that possibility is substantially reduced.

Just out of interest are you aware of things not being quite what they should be? If so then try running these as a quick scan if after these you are still suspicious then there are more intensive scans available.

    AdwCleaner Download
ADW download from bleeping computer delete any rubbish found with the malware scans
(NB If you are running Kaspersky as the main AV then it might need disabling it when trying ADW because it does not like it at times)

These are good to keep on your machine and run on a regular basis because SAS particularly will pick up rubbish mainly in the form of adware which does take up drive space. Along with those if you don't already have it on board then CCleaner is good at de-cluttering your machine.

Yep well the scan there is showing a lot of clutter if nothing else - all stuff that will add to the hard drive being filled up.

If you have it run the CCleaner it too keeps a lot of the rot to a minimum or nothing. But when you use it make sure you keep the cookies for sites you visit regularly or else you will find yourself having to re-log into those sites again and again.

Now s for anyone watching where you go and what you do well again with the sites such as Google, Microsoft, and facebook etc etc they collect info from your machine in any case. That is besides those who are hacking into sites and that is something that no-one can prevent completely - if someone wants your info then it is only a matter of getting into your computer whenever you are on line, you just have to be careful when you are on line. As for the password for the modem well again if someone wants it that badly then there will always be those who can hack it - again just be careful. Lastly have a lo to see if the modem security is set to maximum especially if you use wifi see this
Wi-Fi Security: Should You Use WPA2-AES, WPA2-TKIP, or Both? I have mine set to WPA2-PSK (AES) it descibes it in the text.

Hello Jager now I am assuming you mean the Realtek GBE device? That is a network adaptor device and is perfectly normal.

If you go to the Control Panel and then to Device Manager and open up the Network Adaptors and se if there is a yellow triangle against the Realek device - see pic

Hell o Jager sorry late reply now just backing up to post #3 where you say you are using Panda security now having Googled it it appears to have a firewall itself on certain version of it which I find a little odd. This makes me wonder which version you have? See this
Firewall - Panda Security it appears from that chart in that link only one version does have a firewall.
Now you can follow this too What is the firewall protection of Panda and how do I set it up? - Technical Support - Panda Security it shows you how to set the firewall if the version you have has that widget it mentions.

I say all this because the Kaspersky I run on all my machines has it's own dedicated firewall and does automatically shut off the Windows firewall feature when installed.

Now you can check in the Control Panel again to see if the Windows firewall is running.
So Control Panel > type firewall in the search box > then click on Check firewall status > the next screen will show what it is see pics.
