Uninstall Driver Booster and avoid this type of driver software. They create more problems than they fix.

After installing the all in one driverpackage from Realtek it seems finally solved.
Now including the previous installed Windowsupdates.
Windows seems to install the wrong type of driver.

hows it going Bernardus?
hmm.. I didn't see your latest post when I made this one.. anyway..

I have a Realtek Gigabit NIC as well, though I am thankfully not having any problems.

I keep the main Realtek NIC driver page bookmarked...
Your link above is good too since it lists previous driver versions too in case the latest driver is buggy. lol

Still running fine Melchior.
The odd thing was that a new driver sometimes worked once and after restart no connection.
I don't know what windows will do if there is no previous driver or a wrong one, or if the file has changed, since it's somewhere in it's hidden system. Anyway, it's Ok now and it's to much work to find out which specific Windows update in the list caused the trouble. Had some 25 of Windows alone (plus an endless list of Office.)
There are numerous complaints about this case on the net. Networkcard Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller

Here is another site from Realtek with drivers.

Mr Whoopee, your also right about that. I removed Driverbooster since it indeed also installed the wrong driver.

Thanks for support.
