Wireless Network Adapter not connecting after sleep mode

D-Link DWA 192 AC-1900 connected to Dell Xeon w/ Windows 7 64 bit O/S.

After coming out of sleep mode, the adapter used to automatically connect to the network without issue.

Now, it does not (despite the box being checked to connect automatically to the default). Instead, the list of available networks to connect to includes a few neighbouring networks but not my home network. In order to re-establish a connection, I need to go into Device Manager, and disable the wireless adapter and then re-enable it. Once that is done, it will locate and connect to my home network.

Not a hardware problem: D-Link replaced the adapter with a new one. It also works fine on my other computer with same O/S.

Other troubleshooting ideas already tried:

1. Unchecking the box that allows the computer to turn off the adapter to save power
2. Unchecking the the box that allows the computer to turn off the USB port to save power
3. Completely uninstalling the network adapter driver and re-installing the latest version
4. Downloading all updates for Windows 7
5. Disabling Avast Anti-Virus
6. Repairing and Resetting Windows TCP/IP Winsock Catalog Corruption via command prompt.

I'm at a loss as to what else I could try. Any ideas, gurus?
