Slow internet on Samsung np530u3b using windows 7 professional SP1 x64

I've started using an old ultrabook that was around my house for college. I formatted it through Samsung Recovery 5 and everything went well. It took a while to download all the updates for windows, but it's all updated now.
The funny thing is that the internet is extremelly slow compared to other devices I use (the smartphone, PS4 and other computers at home).
Just as comparison: when donwloading a file (based on torrent downloading with excellent seeding), the normal speed is around 1 MB/s (it always between 700 kb/s and 1.3 mb/s) but on this notebook, I can't get to more than 200 kb/s and is usually downloading things at 20 kb/s.
I'm connected wirelessly and can't depend on cable because I move the device all the time, so I haven't tried cable yet (but should I?). As I'm constantly downloading and streaming big stuff, I wanted to know how would I be able to fix this, but I've got no ideia as to what to do.
My internet provider is NET Virtua (I live in Brazil) and the router/modem (I don't quite know the difference, but it's the only wi-fi device in here NET has provided) is a HUMAX HG100R-L2. I use Avira free as antivirus. I've also checked these informations, but I don't know if that's enough to analyze.

Sorry in advance for any lack of important information for you guys.
