Ram affects Network card?? Unidentified network?? Win 7

Hi everyone

I have recently installed windows 7 (64) and wanted to put more RAM in. I started off with 2Gb and added 1 Gb of ram to make 3Gb (No problems Here). I then added another 2Gb of ram bringing it up to 5 Gb (Now the fun begins!)

Windows 7 runs fine and I can play games with the 5Gb...but... I can't seen to get on the internet! It comes up saying unidentified network! I take out the 2Gb and everything is ok again and i can get back online and everything.

I was told to make sure all my drivers are updated which I did and they are all up to date.

Please help, does anyone have any answers??

Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

Seems to be an issue with that particular motherboard and it seems to be linked to the Marvell chipset. If you search the root of these forums using your motherboard numbers or google with your motherboard + Windows7 + Ram, you will see that this issue has been occuring even back to the Vista Forums. I've been looking around and haven't seen any real solutions....even when people added a different NIC. Not sure if there is a solution out there. 4 gigs of ram seems to be the breaking point.

Add a PCI-e Netword Adapter

Has anyone tried a PCI-e Network card in the FIRST PCI-e x1 slot? I have ordered an Intel EXPI9301CTBLK Network Adapter and plan to disable the on-board Marvell Yukon 8000 PCI Network controller to resolve the problem. I plan to upgrade to Windows 7 64 and install DDR2-533 memory modules to support the FULL 16GB system memory available.

I have used the Asus P5NSLI with 3GB of memory for over 2 years with Windows 7 Home Premium 32 without even one error. This system is the most stable in our entire network.
