Ghost files showing still open after a month or more?

I have 3 files still showing they are still open. All are excel sheets I use. Also happens with access databases. These are mostly or all happening on a shared network drive. I attached a screenshot.

Ideas? I assume something is not right on my IT side.

    Hi Anobe1,

Looking at thier titles, and me coming from a finance background, i would say they are still live, and will be till the end of the year.
Its also possible that another department has taken over the Admin permissions.
Obviously as i dont know your company set-up Admin/operation wise i can only make educated guess's.

I would speak to your IT people and ask if anyone has introduced any new policy rules, (GPO's), both systems, W7 and Excell.

another thought are they supposed to be dropped automaticlly to a 2017 file folder at month end.

I dont see one if its missing i assume they'll stay there until its created.

Yeah, they are all closed. I am the only person who has access to this folder and subfolders.
    Does that help any?
I open them and add data one day a month and close them. And no they are not automatically dropped to any folders above.
