Drive Shares show across LAN after disconnection.

Hey Gang!

Ok, I've been hunting and haven't found the root of the problem, so I need some help and hopefully someone here has experience with this annoying, pesky issue. I'm having issues with phantom shared drives showing up on all systems on the LAN after they have been disconnected. I have a couple dual docks on one box I use, but they aren't active all the time. These drives get shared so the rest of the LAN can have access them.

After I turn them off the shares appear to be persistently stuck in my shared drives list (Manage>System Tools>Shared Folders) and show as live across the LAN until I remove them via Management. Of course I can simply go into shared folders and delete them and all is back to normal, but I'd like to figure why it's happening and correct it as opposed to a bandaid script.

What could be causing this? Shouldn't Windows remove the shares when it sees that they are gone and not report them as live to all the systems on the LAN, even after reboot? Shouldn't they simply go away and come back up as non shared folders the next time I reconnect them?

Thanks!
