Lost Workgroup network connection

Everything was working fine until we had a power failure this morning and now this Windows7 computer can't find anyone on the network. I tried resetting the router, Internet access is fine. This computer shows up on another laptop but when I go to Users, my name is not there, just public. I did the usual advanced sharing checks, etc. But what I find unusual is why doesn't my name show up under Users???
In the attached picture, my name Ivan, doesn't appear under user names. It used to. How do I get it back?
Thank you for your help.

I finally zeroed in on the problem. For some reason, the "Security" tab wasn't set to include "Everyone", just the "Sharing" tab was set for "Everyone". I added "Everyone" in security settings, allowing all permissions and all is well now. I don't know how it got changed in the first place, but after rebooting, everything is working fine and my user name is visible and accessible to the other computers.

I referred to this article, which I hope may help others:

I'm going nuts. My PC will not connect to my wired network, but it will connect to it wirelessly through an USB N adapter (I couldn't afford the downtime).
